Financial Aid/Scholarship
Eligibility for Athletically Related Financial Aid
In order for student-athletes to become eligible to receive athletically-related financial aid, the student-athlete must meet all applicable NCAA, Atlantic 10 Conference, and VCU rules and regulations. In particular, student-athletes must have athletics eligibility remaining as well as enrolled full-time during any given semester (with potential exceptions for final semester before graduation and the summer).
Free Application for Federal Student AID (FAFSA)
All incoming and current student-athletes should complete the FAFSA regardless of their current financial status, as certain VCU institutional aid awards require completion of the FAFSA. It is strongly encouraged that all incoming student-athletes complete the FAFSA and send it to VCU by January 1, 2025 (the 2025-2026 application will be available December 1, 2024), as financial aid packaging takes place starting in the spring semester. VCU’s Federal School Code for FAFSA is 003735. Visit the FAFSA website and access the FAFSA application, click here.
